National Research Centre for Banana (NRCB) has issued notification for the recruitment of 09 Posts of Junior / Senior Research Fellow and Technical Assistant on contract basis and co-terminus with the project DBT funded project–Bio-fortification and Development of Disease Resistance in Banana. Eligible candidates may attend for the walk in interview conducted on 30-01-2013.

Post : SRF / JRF / Project Fellows
Vacancies : Six
Salary : Rs.16000/- per month consolidated
Educational Qualification : First class in M.Sc. (Hort.) / M. Sc. (Botany) / M.Sc. (Life Sciences / Plant Biotechnology/ Agricultural Biotechnology).
Age Limit : 35 years for men and 40 years for women
Desirable : Minimum one year experience in plant tissue culture, suspension culture, genetic transformation, molecular techniques like southern, northern, bioinformatics etc. Selected candidates are obligated to register for Ph.D. program.

Salary : Rs.8000 Consolidated
Educational Qualification : First class in M.Sc.(Botany) / M.Sc. (Life Sciences)/
Plant Biotechnology, Agricultural Biotechnology / M.Sc. (Hort.) with Biotechnology specialization.
Age Limit : 35 years for men and 40 years for women
Desirable : Experience in plant tissue culture, cell suspension culture, molecular biology techniques etc.
