The Police Department, Administration of Daman & Diu will be recruiting 121 Police Constables (Male & Female) (Group 'C') as per details given below:

Recruitment Details :

Post : POLICE CONSTABLE 

Vacancies : SC-03 , ST- 08 , OBC-30 , Other-80 = 121

Salary : PB-1 Rs. 5,200 - 20,200 Grade Pay Rs. 2000/-

Educational Qualification : Must have passed H.S.C or an equivalent examination with 50% of marks..

Age Limit : -18 to 25 years (Relaxable for Government Servents upto 5 years in accordance with the instructions/ orders issued by the Central Government.

Desirable :  
1). Possess motor vehicle driving license of LMV for atleast 2 years.
2). Diploma or Certificate of Computer of atleast 3-months duration from a reputed institute.
3). Diploma of ITI
4). Serving Home Guards.

Important Dates :

1. Last Date for Receipt of Application: 25-02-2013.
2. Date of Physical Test: 09-03-2013
3. Date of Written Exam: 24-03-2013

Selection Process : Candidates will be selected on the basis of Physical Standard Test, Written Test, Interview and Medical Exam.

Physical Standard: Candidate should have sound state of health, free from defect/deformity /disease, vision 6/6 without glasses both eyes, free from colour blindness. 

Height: The height for the candidates must not less than 168 cms. for males & 152 cms. for females.

Chest/:  Chest measurement 81normal & after Expanding 85 cms. Should undergo physical efficiency test as per following standard. 

1. 800-Meter Run In 3.30 minutes for males & 4.00 minutes for females. 
2. High Jump = 1.07 mtrs. for males and 1.00 mtrs. for females. 
3. Long Jump = 3.68 mtrs. for males and 3.00 1mtrs. for females.

How To Apply :

The successful candidates in the physical test will have to appear for written test of General Knowledge in English, and Hindi Language on 24/03 /2013 . The candidates will be checked by medical board. The recruitment will be held as per the Recruitment Rules applicable at the time of recruitment.
