Applications are invited from Indian Nationals for appointment of Junior Research Fellows (JRFs)

Recruitment Details :

Post : Junior Research Fellow

Vacancies : 22

Salary : Rs.16000/- per month consolidated

Educational Qualification : At the time of submitting the application the applicant should essentially possess a minimum 2nd class Masters degree in Botany awarded by a UGC recognized university.

Age Limit : 

• Male candidate : 25 years
• Female candidate : 30 years

Desirable :  NET or GATE qualified or M. Phil degree in Taxonomy or Plantsystematics of any group of plants with working knowledge in computer.

Place of Work :  Any of the Regional Centres/Offices of BSI at Itanagar, Shillong, Gangtok, Howrah, Kolkata, Allahabad, Noida, Dehradun, Jodhpur, Pune, Hyderabad, Port Blair and Coimbatore. Appointed Junior Research Fellows may be shifted from his/her initial working place to another place of work, if necessary.

Duration of Fellowship : The Junior Research Fellows will be appointed initially for 2 years and, if found suitable, may be appointed for another 3 years as Senior Research Fellows.

Fee : Demand draft (DD) of Rs. 400/- (Rs. 200/- for OBC applicants, Rs. 100/- for SC/ST/PH applicants) drawn in favour of ‘Accounts Officer, PAO (BSI/ZSI), Kolkata’.

Selection Process: Candidates will be selected on the basis of written test/interview.

Important Dates :

Last Date for Receipt of Applications: within 30 days from the date of publication in Employment News/Rozgar Samachar. 
Last Date for Far Flung Areas: 45 days from the date of publication in Employment News/Rozgar Samachar.
