Recruitment Details :
(1) Name of Post: Sr. Research Officer (Technical) - One Post (Unreserved)
Pay : Pay Band Rs. 15600-39100 + GP 6600
Age Limit : 40 Yrs. (relaxable for Govt. servants and for exceptionally qualified/experienced persons.
Essential :
1- Degree in Engineering from a recognized University. (Mechanical/Electrical/Electronics) or Diploma in Engineering from a recognized Institution (Mechanical/Electrical/Electronics)
2- 5 Years experience of supervision/Technical work in an Institute of repute preferable in an organization for the blind, for persons having a degree in Engineering OR 10 years experience of supervision/Technical work in an Institute of repute preferably in an organization for the blind, for persons having a diploma in Engineering.
Qualifications Required for Deputation : Deputation from amongst Govt. Servants or others employed in autonomous bodies having 5 yrs experience in the scale of Rs. 9300-34800 GP 4600 or equivalent and possessing qualifications as above.
(2) Name of Post: Lecturer-cum-Course Coordinator (Orientation & Mobility)-(One)- (Reserved for SC)
Age Limit : 40 Years ,
Scale of Pay : Pay Band Rs. 15,600-39,100 + Grade Pay 5400
Essential Qualifications :-
(a) Degree from a recognized University,
(b) Certificate/Diploma in Orientation & Mobility from a recognized Indian/Foreign Institution,
(c) At least 10 years experience of work in the field of Orientation & Mobility out of which five years experience of imparting training to Orientation & Mobility Instructors.
(3) Name of the Post: Lecturer in Education –One - (Reserved for OBC)
Age Limit: 40 Years.
Scale of Pay: Pay Band Rs. 15600-39100 + GP 5400
Essential Qualifications: -
Master’s Degree from recognized University with not less than 50% marks and M.Ed. Special Education (V.I.) with not less than 55% marks or an equivalent grade of B in 7-points scale or an equivalent degree from a foreign university recognized by RCI.
Desirable: -
1. Ph.D./M. Phil in Education with research emphasis on Special Education.
2. Experience for a period of at least 3 years as teacher or researcher in the area of visual disability or 3 years of teaching experience at the Diploma level.
(4) Name of the Post: Research Assistant (Reserved for OBC)- (One)
Mode of recruitment: Direct recruitment.
Age Limit: 35 Years.
Pay: Pay Band – 9300-34800 Grade Pay : 4200
Essential Qualifications: -
1. A second class Master Degree in one of Social Sciences.
2. Two Years research experience in a reputable Establishment.
3. Basic Qualification relaxable in exceptionally good/highly experience
persons.
(5). Name of Post: Lady Supervisor (Unreserved) – One
Scale of Pay: Rs. 5200-20200 + Grade Pay 2800
Age Limit: 45 years
Essential Qualifications:-
1) Intermediate or equivalent;
2) Diploma in Nursing; Or Diploma in Special Education (VI) for Primary Teachers;
Or Bachelor in Mobility Science from a recognized Institute affiliated to Nursing Council or RCI as the case be
3) Two years experience in nursing and 2 years in Hostel Management.
(6) Name of Post: Copy Holder - One Post ( Reserved for SC )

Pay: Pay Band – 5200-20200 Grade Pay : 2400

Essential Qualifications:-
1.Graduate Degree from a recognized University
2.Knowledge of Standard English and Bharti Braille.
3. Good Knowledge of one Regional Language. .
4.English and Hindi as subjects at Intermediate level.
Desirable:
1. Two years experience in a Braille Press
(7) Inspector Braille Appliances – One (Reserved for Visually Handicapped & OBC)
Age Limit: 30 Years
Pay : Pay Band – 5200-20200 Grade Pay - 2400
Essential Qualifications:-
1. Matriculation or equivalent.
2. Trade Certificate in light Engineering with 3 yrs experience in inspection/production of various components of Braille appliances.
3. Should be well conversant with the use of go and no-go gauge, ring gauge and other instruments.
4. Should be well versed in the use of all Braille appliances.
5. Should have good knowledge of Braille.
(8) Name of Post: Stenographer - One Post (One reserved for ST)
Pay: Pay Band – 5200-20200 Grade Pay : 2400
Age Limit:18 to 27 years(Relaxable for Govt. servants up to 40 years in accordance with instructions or orders issued by the Central Government)
Essential Qualifications:-
1. 12th class pass or equivalent from a recognized Board or University.
2. Skills Test norms : Dictation: (English) 10 minutes @ 80 w.p.m. Transcription : 50 minutes On Computer.
(9) Name of Post: Storekeeper (Unreserved) - (One)
Mode of recruitment: By direct recruitment
Age Limit : 25 Years
Scale of Pay : 5200-20200 +1900 Grade Pay
Essential Qualification: -
1. Matriculation or equivalent.
2. Ability to maintain accounts relating to stores.
3. At least one years’ experience of maintaining stores.
Desirable: -
1. Knowledge of typewriting.
(10) Name of Post : LDC- Two posts-(One reserved for OBC, and one post (temporary unreserved) for one year only
Age Limit : 25 Yrs.
Scale of Pay : 5200-20200 +1900 Grade Pay

Essential Qualfication:-

b) Typing speed 30 words per minute in English;.

11. Name of the Post: Technician Grade II – Two Posts

Essential Qualifications: -
1. High School or Equivalent
2. Certificate of NCVT in the trade of Carpenter/Fitter with two years experience in Tool Room Work.
Desirable :
1. Having knowledge of computer aided designing (C.A.D.)
2. Three years experience of manufacturing of Braille Appliances.
