BTC is the acronym of basic Training Certificate. BTC Course conducted by SCERT through DIET and other Private institute authorized by NCTE. BTC certificate must for teaching in Primary schools of Uttar Pradesh. After the successfully completion of BTC program candidate have to qualify a Teacher eligibility Test conducted by every state government name TET. After that, UP basic education board appoints that BTC trainees as assistant teacher In primary schools. Uttar Pradesh UP SCERT State council of educational research and Training conducted various Teachers Training programs of various categories via its Units as well as DIET (district institute of education and training) in the district. SCERT ensuring the quality in respect of management in schools, planning, various research, evaluation and training at the school level. Basic SCERT Content-based
Pre- service teacher training are-

1. BTC – training duration 2 year diploma course
2. VBTC - training duration 6 months – Vishist BTC or special BTC
3. Urdu BTC training duration 2 yrs
4. Para Teachers

Eligibility Criteria for BTC :
Education Qualification: graduation with 50% marks and for sct st obc ph etc 45 %
Age limit: minimum age limit 18 and maximum age 30 age on 1st July For sc/st/obc age is 35
Resident: niwas praman patra of concerning district where you applying

Important Dates :

Important date of BTC recruitment 2012 (tentative dates only )

1. Advertisement and Notification will be published: End of April
2. UPBTC Application Form selling will be start from: 1week of may
3. Last date of filling application Form of BTC 2012: end of may
4. BTC merit list 2012 / BTC results: end of June
5. Interims selection list of DIET: will be published on the District NIC website
6. BTC Counseling for DIET seats starts: end of July
7. Counseling for Private BTC colleges / free seats /Paid seats: 1st week of august

Rs. 400 and for sc/st Rs. 200
