Basic Eligibility Conditions:
a) Nationality:
A candidate interested in YPP must be a national citizen of any of the participating nations as per the list of UN as mentioned below :

b) Age: A candidate must not have attained an age of 32 years as on the deadline of date for receipt of
application.
c) Academics: Candidates must hold a first level University Degree in their respective streams of academics.

d) Language Proficiency: A candidate must have proficiency in English or French both in written and verbal abilities.
Appointment Period:
Initially a candidate will be appointed for a period of two years in P-1 level. Depending upon his performance and track records, he may be granted promotion to the P-2 level ofservice with United Nations. With performance track records and on meeting educationalrequirements P-2 level candidates can apply for P-3 level as an when advertised.

Application Fees:
UN does not charge any fee for recruitment at any stage. Hence candidates interested for such services need not to pay any fee in this regard.

Selection Procedure:
The selection of YPP willfollow a three step procedure:
Step 1: Initial Scrutiny of Application
Step 2: Written exam at designated Test Centers
Step 3: Oral / Voice Interview through VTC (Video Tele-Conferencing) or through SKYPE
